RESIDENT CHORUS OF THE NORTH CAROLINA SYMPHONY

Hear us this spring

Join us for our four remaining concerts this season, or just our two Symphonic Choir concerts: Dvorak's Requiem and Barons of Broadway. Details are available here.

UPCOMING EVENTS

DvoRAk’s Requiem

Tues, March 3rd, at 7:30pm

Meymandi Concert Hall

Antonín Dvořák’s monumental Requiem setting soars in the similar grand Romantic style of the settings of Verdi and Berlioz. Dvořák brings to this work a strong sense of dramatic pacing, inventive orchestration, and his own deep religious devotion. From the fire and fury of the “Dies Irae” to the tender pleas of the soloist’s “Pie Jesu”, this performance will captivate, inspire, and engage.

Barons of Broadway

Sun, March 29th, at 3:00pm

Meymandi Concert Hall

This spring, the Chorale and pit orchestra present some of the most beloved music from the American Musical Theater. You’ll hear songs from shows like Camelot, My Fair Lady, Phantom, Cats, Guys and Dolls, and more. In our second installment of Barons of Broadway, we pay homage to the compositional duo Alan Jay Lerner and Frederick Loewe, Broadway legend Frank Loesser, and internationally-renowned songwriter Andrew Lloyd Webber.
